Just got the bypass done and now I can't get the thing to unmute. I just says "mute" on the screen all the time now. Any ideas?? (besides for "you did something wrong")

My guess is you grounded the mute wire but did not relocate it's pin on the wiring harness. That will cause the unit to mute itself.

1 - ground parking brake wire

2 - ground mute wire

3 - move the mute wire to the empty pin slot on the wiring harness that is directly adjacent to it

Thanks....I'll take it back to the shop that did it and tell 'em to fix it. I'd do it myself...but I can't figure out how to get the damn thing out of my dash.... Yeah...that's right, I am THAT much of a noob at all this car audio stuff. Thanks for the help though!
