Was there a new F-series release with the problems fixed

I was at my buddies shop the other day, and they were installing a F900. I asked him why they were installing that model with all the problems I have seen on Avic with the F series units. They told me that they had the "new release F-series" and all the problems were fixed. I have not bought one because of the problems. If anyone has some info, please share. Thanks, Lu

Pioneer installed the upgraded firmware on all the units it was shipping out a long time ago. If it has the updated firmware (I'm fairly sure any new F-series in stores will) it will have a round blue sticker on the back of the unit somewhere.

if it makes any sense, my unit has the following version info:

Map Version: 01.000600

Version: 1.001700

I got my unit about a week ago and never applied any updates to it

you already got the "latest" version. which is still buggy as hell.

I will give Pioneer 2 more months. if nothing comes out ... I swear Im going to break my F90bt, claim insurance, then just buy a Kenwood or something.
