on garmin when ur driving with no route it will display the upcoming intersection or off ramp on the top banner.

has anyone figured out or thought about adding this functionality. of course this would mean keeping the top long blue banner on the screen.

I know what you mean, an I found it to be a very useful feature. Knowing the upcoming exit was one of the things I missed when I gave up my Garmin.
