Hi all,

AVIC d3BT

We have one fitted to a Porsche Boxster.

When the lights are switched on is there anything to be set so as the display darkens to night mode?

Thank you inadvance for your help.

Yes, you don't have the illumination lead connected. (orange wire)

Do you mean an AVIC-D3 or a European AVIC-HD3BT ?

Because the HD3BT is not a "D-series" unit here in the US, it's a "Z series" unit. It's basically the European version of the AVIC-Z3

In Europe, they did have an AVIC-D3BT. I think it was an AVIC-D3 and CD-BTB200 bundle.

I agree on the illumination lead not connected. Although I believe there is also a setting in Settings to set whether night mode inverts the map or not. I'd check there first since it's easier than pulling the stereo out to check the wiring.

I believe it is set to change by default.

I have DRL's, so any info you pass along when illumination wire is likely not connected....
