Hey Guys, i'm new to the site, but not the tremendous world of car audio.

I'm about to buy an Avic D3, but i really need a question answered before i make my purchase!

I have a total of 496 artists on my current Ipod, and I was wondering if there is a way to jump quickly to say artist "S" or "N".

My alpine had a percentage search that was fantastic, but I'm not sure about the Avic D3.

Here's an example of what i'm asking.

At 1:03-1:07 there is a scroll bar on the left hand side. Is there a way i could press that say 50% of the way, and get to the middle of my artists?

nope just have to scroll down a ton of times, or use the ipod i believe. but no way to get halfway fast, i find that annoying as well.

That may deter me from buying this unit. lol

Change the genre of the tracks to the letter that it's artist starts with. Like select all your songs who's artist names start with S, and change their genre to "S". That way when you hit the genre button, a list of letters will come up and when you select one, it will only show artists who's name starts with that letter.
