I seem to have a small problem. I have the 2nd gen ipod touch and I cannot use the direct interface wire(yet until someone make converter so i can charge it). I am currently trying to use a aux cable to listen to music. What I did was connect one end of it to the ipod headphone jack and the other to the port in front of the d3 under the volume control but I get no sound. If I unplug it and plug it into my tc's(different car not the one with d3) factory aux input, then I can hear the music. What am I doing wrong?

You need to get the AV cable from Pioneer CD-RM10.

The input is actually the AV-2 input and it takes both audio channels and a composite video signal. That is why a regular 3.5mm to 3.5mm stereo adapter will not work. The adapter needs three connections (three black rings) on the 3.5mm plug.

Hope this helps.
