hi im looking for the vss wire for my 00 sierra 5.3 V8 and where should i connect the back tail light wire please help ty...

VSS is a dark green wire with a white stripe, at the ECM.ECM is located near the battery, down low, between the fender and the fan under the black plastic cover. On the 4.3L, the VSS wire is at pin 3 in the connector labeled black. On the 4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L, the VSS wire is located in pin 50 of the red connector. Reverse is most likely a light green wire in the harness inside the driver's frame rail running towards the rear of the truck

Easier location - on top of the instrument cluster, dark green with a white stripe, there are a couple, so test with a multimeter(and an assistant).
