ok im trying to get video from the i pod to play on the screen but it says that it needs to connect something to do with the video any help or no how to view it?

What version/generation of ipod?

its a 80g 5th gen i think

when you get that msg.. unplug the ipod from the cable then plug it back in... now video "should" play
