Drive D : 17.52GB = MAPS (LDAT)

Drive E : 572.8MB = SYSTEM FILES (SDAT)

Drive F : 9.308GB = MUSIC (MSV)

Drive G : 572.8MB = ADDRESS BOOK (USER)

Hello Garrett,

Thanks so much for your answer and for the info. So I should have the z3 image in the 17.52 GB partition right? Also, in the Acronis, do I just choose Z3_image 1 then it will automatically write all the rest of the other 2-14 for me? Or do I have to do that one by one.

Thanks again for your help.

The image is of all 4 partitions. If you are wanting to save your music and address book, follow the instruction in the attachment that I posted in the official z3 upgrade thread. It's on the 1st page below the post that you found to dl the image.

Hello Garrett,

I followed that instruction in that write up and twice I got the error in the AVIC saying: "can not usd HDD":

Here is what I noticed (please tell me if these has cause me the error):

1) In the acronis wizard selection of the image (step 3), I clicked on the file z3_virgin1.tib, I noticed on your screen it said: "This is volume1 of multivolume image archieve z3_virgin.tib"

What I see on my screen is:

Back up archieve name : z3_virgin.tib

Back up archieve type: image

The selected backup sequence number: 1

The date and the size is the same as your screen.

Q: is this the same as yours, or am I backing up only volume1 and left out the others?

2) Second noticed: in your write up, you only restore the top 2 partitions. Do we have to do the other 2 as well? (according to my computer knowledge, if we don't allocate that partition we can't use it). Right now, after following your instructions, I still have 9GB plus of unallocated space. Is this why I am having the error?

Thanks again for your help.

My write up states on the first page that you must have a WORKING Z1/Z2/Z3 imaged unlocked hard drive. My write up only does the first 2 partitions so that you can save your music on the 3rd partition and address book onthe 4th partition. Based on your post quoted above, I ASSUMED that you had a working Z1/Z2 hard drive with 4 exisiting partitions.

If you started with an unpartioned unlocked HDD, then you would just follow the instructions posted by Hyperite in the EXACT same post that you found the links for the image download.

YES, if you do not have the 3rd and 4th partition you will get that error.

Hello Garrett,

I got it to work now! It is showing map 02/2008.

I am greatly appreciated for your help and for your contribution to this forum. And the write up is extremely detail and can't get any better. It was me, wasn't sure what I am doing at first.

Thanks again for your help.
