Looking to get a Z3 or maybe an F. I need to show altitude or elevation like the Garmins show in the GPS info screen.

Do the Avics show altitude?

That is kind of weak... although I rarely ever use it... But most GPS/Navigation units show this.... well not so much altitude,as it would always be the same when installed in your car... But elevation..

It is possible with the F series, but you have to hack the unit and write a script to do it. One of the members here did it and posted pictures in one of the threads

I personally have no use for altitude but I find the SLOPE measurement very handy.
