Are the new 80MT discs only map data, or do they provide newer firmware/software for the AVIC N1 or N3?

80MT upgrade firmware? or just maps?

Are the new 80MT discs only map data, or do they provide newer firmware/software for the AVIC N1 or N3?
Renewal Map database, Wide variety of facility information for Points of Interest search, renewal POI Icon
According to the manual, this means that the Map database will be changed; You can search your destination from all areas - approx 12.3 million POIs are included; Some facilities icons used in POI search, vicinity search and overlay POI will be changed.

I didn't notice any major changes.. but am glad to get updated POI's. Makes my life easier while traveling!
