I am not sure I understand why you always see the ipod in plain site in a lot of pictures. If the Z1 controls the ipod completely what is the point of having the ipod visible? Just currious if I am missing something or is it okay to put the ipod in the glove box and just leave it there??

Just had the Z1 installed in my 2006 Passat and integrated it to my Dynaudio system with XM and NavTraffic, along with the iPod .... can't wait to go pick it up later tonight .... gonna be sweeeeeeeeeeeet.

i have my ipod cable inside my glove compartment, that way i can lock the ipod inside with the key... i didnt want my ipod to be visible..
