Hey all I just got an AVIC-N1 installed in my car and it keeps saying Route Calculation Not Possible.. Can anyone explain this to me?

Are you trying to set a route to yourself? An unmapped area? Is the nav disc in the unit? Is the area map set to a local area?

The CD is in and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt! I duno whats going on

The nav disc may be dirty or scratched. Try cleaning the disc.

I just installed the 70 series disks and now I have the same problem. It is intermittant.

are you trying to calculate routes while going to the hiway?
