Can you play your songs on your iPhone via the iPod connector on the z3? or does it have to be an actual ipod?

iphone plays music, and can be controlled from the head unit touch screen. It does not charge.

So one cable for controlling the iPod's audio and a separate cable for the Video out?

or just do both thru the av cables.. The pioneer ipod interface is quite pokey..
