I'm not too clear on how the custom backgrounds work. When you create a stripped DVD with the custom backgrounds, am I correct in my assumption that when you select a background, it's stored in flash memory so you can reinsert the original DVD with all POI's intact and keep the custom background? What happens if you change to a standard background and want to go back to the custom one, is it necessary to re-insert the stripped DVD with custom backgrounds?

Also, when changing to a custom opening screen, is the opening screen saved to memory, or is it read from the disc every time to where you have to make a new navi DVD and use it always? I did see any option to choose the opening screen, so I was thinking it's the latter.

Last question... I tried some of the animated backgrounds, but they weren't animated. When do they become animated?
