i've done this one the way i did my 07 tacoma and its not working. does anyone know of a website that i can go to in order to find the updated vss?

I found this on the 08 Tacoma, maybe it helps?
VSS WIRE Green/orange At ECM behind glovebox
**The GREEN/ORANGE vss wire is located on the ECM behind the glovebox. On the 2.4L and 2.7L, it's at pin-8 of the 22-pin connector. On the 3.4L, it's at pin-12 of the 28-pin connector.

well they dont have a 2.4L or the 3.4L anymore and mine is a 4.0L....that goes for the 08 as well

the 07's was purple/white in that same spot, but this time, the wire there isnt that color and i tried the only purple/white in that connector

Did you ever find the VSS Wire on the 09 Tacoma? I have an 09 X-Runner and will be receiving my Z1 soon. Will need to know.

I got the same info for an 09 Tacoma. X Runner shouldnt be any different
