any way to change the clock color so you can have one for day and one for night?

As of now it's one set of colors for both, not for each.

There is a bNightMode variable with a boolean model of screen.nightmode

So this should work:

Copy the line that draws the clock (something like this:

Change visiblemodel to visiblemodel="gps.current_time.valid&!screen.nightmode"

This will be the clock that is displayed when you have GPS signal AND NOT in night colors.

Copy the line, paste it right after the original and chnage visiblemodel to be

visiblemodel="gps.current_time.valid&screen.nightmode"

This will be shown if the map is using night colors.

didn't work. the "staring up" box didn't go away, and it wouldn't let me into the map screen. i reverted back to my previous data.zip

I'll have to experiment with it... You may want to make sure that you give them different names (i.e. txtTimeDay and txtTimeNight).

Since screen.nightmode comes straight from one of AVIC's variable definition files, we should have this function, so it's probably a syntax error somewhere.

that could be it. actually that is most likely the problem. it's too late to get into it tonight though... ill keep you guys updated if i figure it out...

I just tried it in IPAQ emulator on a PC, and this seems to work OK.

I saw in an earlier post that somebody was able to change the size of the clock display. Is this possible? if so, can someone tell me hot to do it.
