So i just went from a Pioneer DEH590IB, which I had tuned properly, according to my ears, had the xovers and all set. The system sounded so good and bass output from my pioneer 10inch was awsome. Now after installing the D3, i tried to replicate the EQ settings as I has them on my 590IB, but no bass!? well its there, but it seems like its not. Bass output is really boomy and distorted. I have tried messing with the low band as much as possible but nothing. I have the bass boost at 0, which is what is should be at. Bass boost does nothing but hurt subs. Has anyone else experience this? Is my only optiong here a Stand-alone EQ? i would like to keep the D3 because I got it for a good price, but IM not sure if I can live with the poor bass output.

Did you adjust the gains on your amp? D3 has much weaker RCA output than your old deck

Well, since I was doing the install late tuesday nite in my garage, turns out I overlooked the fact that my Nine.1 was not powering on!? That was the problem. This is I drive a mustang GT with the MACH460, and there is a resistor mod I have performed on the amp turn on wire, which prevents the popping sound from my speakers, which are hooked up to factory amps. Well my amp turn on wire for the nine.1 was not hooked up! All is well now, and I even completed installing the GPS antenna.
