When I'm in my car my cell phone automatically pairs up with my BT.

Is there a way for me to use my phone without having my conversation broadcast over the speakers when others are in the car with me.

Go into your phone menu and choose 'use handset'

My phone (Blackberry) has an option to "transfer call to handset" while in the middle of a call. The AVIC stays muted until I hang up, and I get the privacy of talking directly on the cell. As soon as I hang up, the music turns back on. Check your phone for this option.

Mine just says "Use phone." you should have an option menu pop up on your phone during a call.
