Might be kind of a newbie question, but I just installed my new AVIC unit and the Unit settings menu and Phone settings menu are greyed out and are unavailable. Only thing I can get to is Sound settings and AV Settings. Any ideas why that might happen. Thanks.

Yes, but if you don't do it right, you may damage your deck. Why not just take 60 seconds and do the wire bypass?

Thanks guys. I will bypass it ... i didnt realize that settings were tied to that. Got the GPS thing ... just wasnt sure about settings. Thanks again

I have the same problem and did bypass the parking break but still no luck. Any other advice? Thanks

I think I may have fixed my problem. I didn't have the speed sensor wire hooked up n once I did everything seems to be working fine now. All my buttons are working perfectly now. Thanks anyways.
