Speed recognition = fail; Am I doing something wrong?

Is it just me, or is the speed recognition horrid? Its not the microphone, because based on responses from people I call, they say the sound quality is excellent (even my mom claims it sounds better than her C300)

The only command I have had it successfully do is to change the music source. If I try any command on switching music, it just stares at me, and then lectures me like a child. I've tried all sorts of variants of play artist, play song, play album, play genre, and nothing.

I usually keep all my songs in the root folder of a SD card. The ID3 tags are filled, and populate the display fields on any MP3 player. Or do they have to be split up into folders?

Can I train the speech recognition?

Thanks

I think voice recognition only works with an ipod. Not music stored on an SD card

Yep. Mine works fine with an IPOD, SD card is push button only.

Well that's a bummer. I guess its push-button for me then.

Thanks.
