Umm I cant get this to fit? I though for sure that it would go into a tahoe?!?! DOes anyone also know where the fuse is? Radio will went out on me but the fuse behind the radio is still good.

Ok found the fuse....install is being such a pain as it wont go back far enough.

2001 Chevs only have a din and a half opening. Are you going through the trouble of modding the dash like (that other guy with) the 03 Avalanche?

Yes...cut the metal post in the dash last night....so today I will see if I can get it back far enough..the room is there just have to get it to sit right.

You will have to more than cut just that post though. I'm sure you already knew that. But you will need to get a dash from a newer Chev with the 2-Din opening, move your heater controls, etc...

The unit did have sound..now it does not....radio is on and functioning. Checked all wires and all is good. Any ideas?

Dont know what happened but I have sound and everything is working....fits in the dash with dash cover is in place.
