OK so i had the d2 in my old car i took it out and put it into my new one. but it wasn't used for about 10months. now i installed it into my Lincoln I'm having a weird issue with the navi? ever time i use the nav the arrow sits side ways, so i always have to adjust it in the settings, then it never follows the route on the screen and it always has to recalculates even for mins? also the map display doesn't allow me to change to lets say car dynamics? i think i forget to ground the light green wire? if i pull out my head unit and ground it should this fix my issue? :?::?::?:

I have a pioneer avic-d2 head unit with gps and I've been having issues lately. They gps does not put me on the road and it also shows me facing the wrong direction on the screen. This also has a function that shows things like a speedometer and it has an error message on the screen that says these functions are not available at this time. Does anyone have any experience with this type of stuff. Could there be an issue with the antenna? I took the head unit back out and the antenna is plugged in and all. Could this be an issue with the head unit going bad? Anyone have any ideas?

IIRC, when you swap a D Series into a new car, it has to be recalibrated and then it takes a little while after that to work fine.

but why cant i select the map display, and why does my arrow not follow the rotue and always sits sideways???? also the navi always recalculaes all the time ? is it b/c the green wire isnt grounded?

simply grounding the green wire doesnt do anything. all that will do is bypass the unit until your start moving. I'm not familar with the D series, but that's what I heard the case is when that happens.

I would try going in and resetting everything under the navigation status and letting it relearn. Clear out the distance, speed pulse, and learning status. Might help
