I know this can be done on the z series but I am considering getting this headunit for my car. I am currently in the US but will getting stationed in Germany and will be shipping my car there. Is it possible to redo the software similar to what is being with the z unit or is there another method I could use to do this in order to make this unit work over in Europe. Time is of the essance for me on this as well. Thanks to all that can help

Call Pioneer and let them know your situation and see if they can send you a SD chip to do the job for you. Make sure they can give you a chip to restore the process when you get home. Good luck and God speed.

I don't have much faith in corperations like that. They are always trying to make a big buck, even if it is on the same unit that you have. If they can get you to double pay, they will.... I will try that tomorrow though when they are open, thanks

The hardware is different, so certain things won't work (FM spacing is one example).

Probably not worth the trouble it would take to make it work.
