f90bt speed signal input question

i have a f90bt and need to know if i need to connect the speed signal input or can i leave it hanging?

You can leave it hanging but if you want the most accurate nav. tracking then I would hook it up.Some people feel its not necessary but I feel its there for a reason, so why not!
