I did post in the genreal forum, I didn't want to double post, but i figured I would get better results here.

f900bt 2.0 firmware, iphone 3g 2.1 firmware. Official pioneer cable used.

So lets just get this finalized, according to pioneer, the iphone 3g does not charge with F series. But yet, the phone says its charging and i've even been told by some that it charges it for them.

Can we get an official acknowledgment/test to varify it is in fact charging?

I know it doesn't for mine, I plug it in, say 30 percent battery, lets leave it there for an hour. NO change in status, in fact it will drop battery power. if the battery is critical will go so far as to shut down.

So with pioneers statement and my experience, and the iphone saying it is charging and others saying its working for them. What do I believe and how do I troubleshoot?

the phone has no problems charging on my home computer with the power/usb wall charger that came with the iphone3g. It also works with my made for iphone 3g car charger for the power outlet in the car.

The iphone never says charging is disabled, but the indicator is showing battery is charging status.

No reason to post this twice, if you want your other thread moved to this forum (even though you're getting plenty of responses), let me know and I'll move it.
