I have an 03 vw gti that a guy did a horrible job installing and basically just set the hu right in the slot and thats about it....anyone know where I can find a double din install kit for an 03 gti? there are ones for 2006s all over and no car stereo installers local say they can order one which is b/s

Just did a quick Internet search; neither scosche nor metra has the kit you need which is a pretty good indication that there just isn't a kit to begin with. Do you need a trim piece to cover up a small crack or is it a large gaping hole?

they didnt have an install kit so they set my hu in and put like sticky tack or some shit around it on the corners and tried to cut another shroud and stick it in but it just falls right off

There you go, used that on my 04 Jetta. Works great, takes a little modification in order to sit exactly flush.

nice..thanks
