MSN Direct in multiple cities/markets

So I activated MSN direct before I drove across the country expecting it to work in all the major markets it supports. Unfortunately I could never connect anywhere else except in my home market. I tried manually syncing it when I got to another major city but it never actually synced. Is this a limitation of MSN direct or is there some setting I can change to have it work everywhere?

Does the F series support xm navtraffic that we could use instead?

No, the F-Series does not support the NavTraffic tuners.

It worked for me when we drove out to the west coast. It even re-routed us around road construction when we were using the navigation system to get to a location in Portland which I thought was cool.

Hmmm...that's weird, 4000 miles round trip and it never once updated for me except in my home market the first time. I had high hopes for it, too bad about not supporting navtraffic either, since it works great with my D2. Oh well, guess that's $150 I save...
