Hopefully someone can help. My partner at work and I both have the same problem with avic-F90BT's. His is in a toyota and mine is in a 2005 explorer. Same alarm ( audiovox aps-997a). Never had a problem with the alarm (I've used about 10 over the past 2 years). anyway when you remote start the car, the radio turns on fine and plays but the touch panel is dead. All pysical button work but nothing on the display. If you trun the car off and restart then its fine. This only happens when you first start the car with the remote. Thanks

Mine has different problem with remote starter.

It will not connect to msn direct when remote started.

But my screen works fine.

Check voltage going to the radio during remote start. Also if the radio goes on and off during the remote start process.
