Hi, i was wondering if the cd-r55 would work fine with my z2? Does anybody have this remote and using it with the z2? Please let me know if its compatible with the z2 and if theres any problems with it. Also, can the remote change tracks while im using my ipod? Thanks!

They only work for the AVIC-D3 and AVH-P4900DVD units only.

Pioneer hasn't change their IR language in over a decade so I am sure most if not all functions will work. You can pull the remote out of their $99 CD player and do basic functions on a $2000+ Z-series

So if I were you, I would buy one and try it out. Report back

Use the CD Sr-1 its the best...you can answer your calls from your steering wheel.

Get the CD Sr-1, it works best

I have used the SR1 and the R55. Both work, both have functions the other does not. So I now use a Logitech Harmony remote and get the best of both. Yes, it IS overkill.

Another vote for the CD-SR1
