My avic-f90 volume control not working , have anyone upload the uboot file for recover the unit thanks
no volume control
What did you try modding before it broke? Hope you saved your data.zip! If you didn't do anything, call Pioneer.. warranty :>
I already copy from other unit , after recover the file still not volume control !
I had this same problem crop up on a F700 a few days ago. Everything on the unit worked except volume control. Most boots it would recognize one number up or down but nothing after that. I restored everything I had modded from backups, reset every option there was, and performed every combination of reset button voodoo I could find online. All efforts to no avail. All of the other control knob functions worked exactly as expected.
Pioneer wanted it sent in for warranty service but since I was still in my return window I just took it back to the store and exchanged it.
And people wonder why there's talk of Pioneer discontinuing the f series. You modify the software and what do you know - it's messed up! I'm glad you guys post stuff like this because it lets me tell our customers who think they know what should work and what shouldn't to piss off.
Get ready for a "service only" policy on stuff like this before too long so you can pay for screwing up something that worked fine in the first place (ok, sort of)
what % of users does this issue come up on... 1? so there is always a defective unit in 100000 (example) units, there is no such thing as perfection, nor can anyone say that this is the only unit that has issues... all units (kenwood, jvc, alpine, clarion, eclipse) have their issues, and have the possibility of being defective just like Pioneer... it happens... Perfection does NOT exist
This forum is perhaps the last place in the world anyone should get a good feel for what does and does not work on any Avic. Aside from the small overall representation of overall users this forum represents, I'd be willing to bet that a majority of people here have modded their devices, whereas the vast majority of people who purchase them do not.
Now the volume knob thing... don't know. I've made the same changes to this unit that I did the last one without a problem. Even when considering those changes I don't think the fact that I've moved a few boxes off the nav screen and put in a button to mute nav guidance (using a pioneer script) would really lead to the death of the volume control function.
