Yea yea yea they are merged now love it or hate it. But does anyone have both the sirius direct model and the xm direct model? Whcih one has better sound quality?

I already have sirius, but if the xm model gets better SOUND, Ill swap out for that.

Sirius has better sound quality.

I will probably be getting rid of my XM tuner soon, now that they both share a lot of the same channels.

Thanks, I was gonna get the XM one if it sounded better. And for the display.

In my truck, XM has the better *apparent* sound quality. In my home, Sirius has the better *apparent* sound quality.

It all depends on the speakers, etc. you're listening to -- and what types of artifacts you are sensitive to.

I am more sensitive to watery percussion than squeaky highs, for instance.

I have old tuners for both in the my car. The Sirius sounds better. Not sure about the newer DEI Sirius tuners though

I have a high end setup. So if the sound source sucks, its really apparent.
