Im guessing this is how to do the hacks.. I have only been lurking this forum for a week or so.. Just got mine in the mail and all it has is the dummy SD card in the unit already.. Do I need to go out and buy my own? If so, how do I get the data file on it? Thanks for any and all answers

no it doesnt come with one

yes you need to go out and buy one if you want to put music on it

Check the FAQ section of the F Series Hacks and Mods. It tells you everything you need to know.

If you don't know how to write to an SD card then stick with the hardware bypass, you have no business modding the data.zip

lol I know how to mess with an SD card.. not difficult.. I just havent tried messing with a head unit before, usually computers I use..

I have already edited the data.zip file for the bypass and Im hoping it works when I plug it in

Anyone ever think of a good google search instead of asking a uh, question like, " what is the biggest sd card you can get?" Seriously it takes less time to search then it would to type it out and post it.

Also does the f series come with an sd card? It doesn't even come with a printed manual, but yeah they will throw in a sd card.

yeah im grumpy, but i always found doing my own look for information is more reliable, and quicker then asking someone else.
