Z2 = No sound on Sirius

Hey guys,

Here's what I have:

2007 Ford F150

Stock audiophile system. ( all speakers and subwoofer are stock )

Schoshe wiring harnesses

I just installed a brand new Z2 and have no sound when on Sirius. I can change the channels and see the channel names, but no audio at all. The DVD/CD player works fine and the NAV is working fine as well. I do not have the FM antenna hooked up yet since I need some adapter 'cause Ford uses some weird end on the ant. wire. But I don't think this should cause a problem with the Sirius.

One other question. I have the wire harness for the truck and the factory sub. The sub harness has 2 blue wires on it. Do they have to be hooked up to anything?

Thanks!!

ehh, nevermind. It was a bad cable. It's all fixed and working good now.

However, I would still like to know about the 2 blue wires on my sub woofer adapter harness...

Anyone???

What vehicle wire color does the blue wires on the adapter connect to? Dk Green/Purple?

What does the instructions with your Schoshe adapter say? What is the model number of your adapter? Give me something to work with here :)

I don't have instructions for the harness. There was some stuff written on the back of the plastic bag it came in, but it was messed up and I couldnt red it.

Right now, the 2 blue wires are not connected to anything since I have no idea where they go. I'm assuming they are the amp turn on wires??

Here's a link to the adapters I have

those 2 blue wires turn on the factory amplifier for your factory sub.

there are also 2 RCA's that come with that plug.. 1 of the RCA's is for the sub, the other is for interrior amp (if applicable)

you may have to install a 1k ohm resistor on the Blue turn on wire to eliminate turn on pop. some need it some dont.

also the problem with your siruis wasnt a bad it cable it was a bad installation. you someone plugged the cable into the input port on the sirisu mod.

there is a blu and a black plug on Pioneer SAT units.

the BLACK is the output and goes towards the radio, the BLUE is an INPUT for a 2nd mod in the chain (ipod adapt, blutooth, XM, Aux input)

if you plug into the wrong port you will get all data and controls but no audio.

Happy installin
