Is there a way to have the time show on the A/V screen while also displaying the information?

I know that if you hit hide it will show the time, but can I set it so the clock will always show while I look at the information?

I don't beleive so, but I can't be 100% since my d1 is out for service at the moment.

It's a shame, isn't it? There's generally plenty of leftover room on the A/V screen that could have been used to display the time.

That's one reason why I've considered spending a lot of money to buy an AVH-P6800DVD and an external AVIC add-on. I love its clock display, at least from what I've seen in pics.

That certainly is a shame.

For a $1200 unit, you would figure they could have a clock display on the AV screen.

I second that motion guys. Also, why is the freaking clock so small. There's a lot of room on all the screens to have a decent clock display at a glance instead of having to read that tiny print. At least add the option to display the clock small or large. One of the things I hope they fix in the future.

Why didn't Pioneer make that clock available in all the AVICs?

Maybe Pioneer felt that having the Clock as an option in the Vehicle Dynamics Mode, they felt it was suffice?

You got to wonder what the designers are thinking.

True. I have the add-on nav for mine (AVIC-9DVD). I'm anxious to see how integrated it will be, but still have to get the $90 RGB cable.

When it comes to clocks, size does matter. :wink:
