has anyone put a f900bt in a lexus sc300/400?

i have been reading all i can about this unit and really want to put this in my car. if anyone has or knows someone who has installed it in their lexus please tell me. i want to get this gift for christmas. please help. thank you

I've installed this in my IS300 but I am pretty sure IS and SC are very different. My friend has SC but he got Kenwood installed in his.

thank you, does the kenwood have far different dimensions/ thus allowing it to fit?

i have done this, they say it will not fit. But my stock radio is huge. it must fit. I guess the only way ill know if to have a installer open the dash and see if it does. thanks guys

I just put one in my gs 400 without a problem. I did need to bypass the stock amp though

itll fit, the opening for a sc is actually bigger than this unit, a mounting faceplate(those lil cubby holes in civic n the like under the head units...) for something like a 03 ford focus, maybe earlier. its narrow, youll know if you see it

azfitness, what year and sc model do you have.?

I just put one in my gs 400 without a problem. I did need to bypass the stock amp though

I installed an f90bt in my 01 gs400 without bypassing the amp.

i have a 92 sc300. i went to the jvc site and they said their double din will fit. and they even have a pic of the interior of my car. i think the pioneer unit will fit. i appreciate all those who took the time to reply. hopefully im getting this unit for christmas!!

I just picked up the F700 for my SC400. METRA is supposed to come out with a dash kit in December (but we will see...) if not, Ill just take my stock face plate and mod it to fit.. custom mounting brackets.. the works. Wiring is the easy part as METRA makes an adapter for the 15pin harness but not the subwoofer harness. I think thats just a line level fix away... If you are not using stock speakers/amp then forget this lol
