Hey guys i installed my Pioneer Avic-F700BT and did the wire harness bypass Recently and and hooked up the mic. When i push the button up it doesn't do anything. If i go to contacts screen and tap a contact i can talk through the mic. But i can't use the voice control to choose a song or make a call. Any idea on how to fix it?

if you press the voice recognition button before the avic has finished loading it will freeze the voice recognition software. at least that is my experience.

make sure you wait about 2 minutes before you try pressing the VR button. hopefully that helps.

Also, you must either be in the Music or Map screen.

Hit the button from the Main Menu, the Settings menu, MSN Direct, etc.. won't start the TTS..

copy that. although, it would be nice if the TTS system worked when in any location of the navi... *sigh*

:x I think your on to something. When i push the voice recognition button the unit has a little melt down. it freezes and locks up. I'll wait 2 minutes and see if that produces better results.

Haha, i wonder how many units get returned for user error's like this. That is way too funny.
