in picture P1050863, is that a home electric wire nut?

Lol yea I was using that when I was making sure everything work and was trying to see if I should ground it to the chassis or not before I made a permanent connection. I ended up just using the harness ground and put in a crimp connection.

Very nice. Now, for the big question. Where did you get the face plate? I've installed two Z series in LS's. I had to make the face plates from a factory Nav face plate. NOBODY offered one! Did you find a source?

Could have cut out a square of the sticky magnetic stuff just big enough for the GPS antenna. The Lincoln wont be generating THAT many Gs :P

Is it me or is the entire inside of your dash support cage just covered in rust?

Looks good.

It is a FORD, it can not help itself that it rusts. LOL!

If I remember correctly, that is the color of the primer that Ford uses to make ther inside look like the undercarriage so people do not think it is rust, but paint!!! LOL :D

Living in southern Louisiana, seeing all that rust made me think at first that was one of those cars that got flooded out for Katrina or Rita

Until you realized the car still works fine

Nicely done, OP. Looks like a factory install.

Nice clean install!

I wouldn't worry about the rust. It was the first thing I noticed because my old 1997 Honda CR-V was exactly the same when I changed the stock radio after having it for 3 years. I had it until 2006 and never had any problems.

Yeah, the only thing you really have to worry about with that is possibly cutting your hand on it and getting tetnis :lol:

Sonicelectronix.com is where I got it from when it was first introduced back in the summer. They just got some in after being on back order for a few months. Not a bad price either.
