I have a great deal on a D1...so my question is is it really worth it or should i got and get the d2? Are they very different?

sorry i know i should research and all but mainly i`m looking for opinions...so what you guys think?

Dont forget the D1 can almost fuloly be updated to the D2. I picked up a D1 for $530 and you can download the update.

I was under the impression a D1 can be completely upgraded to a D2 just by installing the CNDV60 software.

Good deal on the D1, I had to pay $570 for mine many months ago.

Yes it can, there is no difference between the d1 and 2 with the exception of the software.

I thought I had read that the D2 has a few Xm enhancements and one or two other minor things, but I may be mistaken.

On a side note I finished downloaded the upgrade disc off torrents last night : )

I was looking at a D2 at Circuit City the other day and it looks identical to my D1... who knows, maybe there are little things here and there that are different, but nothing that would convince me to pay more for it.
