So I think I put my monopod into the screen. The screen still shows everthing, but is cracked all over. The buttons on the bottom work but not the buttons on the screen.

Am I going to be able to get it fixed? What is it going to cost? OR do I need to buy a new stereo? will I be able to do it myself?

You can buy a new screen from Pioneer, you can actually get the unit fixed by them as well I think but that wouldn't be too cost effective. If you do a search around the forums you can find a copy of the service manual which has a section on replacing the screen yourself. It's actually not too hard, if you've ever replaced a laptop screen, it's the exact same concept.

I believe this is what you need, but don't just take my word for it since I'm not exactly sure. I don't want you to buy something on a whim without getting a second opinion so I'd recommend waiting until someone like hyperite or garretoomey chime in with a confirmation.
