sony k790 phone connects and transfer contacts easily but no sound comes from speakers. I can dial from screen but have to talk through headset (transfer sound to phone)

sound works with fm,am,ipod and SD

Updated bluetooth to 3.3 doesnt work.

Returned to 2.9, still doesnt work.

hate to say it but you may have better luck with a different phone. I have an lg 8550 (the chocolate) and i can get or make a phone call but any after that (during the same boot) my sound goes through my headset. I have tried it with a friend's lg 8300 and it works great. I am going to be purchasing a used 8300 so for 30 bucks on ebay just so i can have this feature work properly. weird that i am choosing a phone to accommodate my head unit.

i figure id put this here in case someone has a similar problem and if they search. as mentioned i have the lg 8550 chocolate (version 2) and i tried all different things. i tried to go to verizon to get a new phone early before my contract renewal was up. i couldn't and i asked him if there was any updates to the phone at all. i already asked someone at verizon customer support AND lg customer support and they told me nothing but i figured id try. he said that there was and in the release notes it specifically mentioned my problem. i then had them apply the update (took about an hour). when i paired it i had the same problem. then i deleted the phone from the device and the device from the phone then readded them to each other. finally, works! i can now make as many calls i want without the sound getting transferred back to the phone. note: i have bt version 2.9. i may try to reupgrade soon to 3.0.

so i guess my suggestion would be to make sure there is no phone update available. also if its a windows ce based phone try the third party app (forgot the name). i think it worked for a lot of people.
