I'm running 1.9 here in the UK, and have been experiencing the no system sound problem if I don't use the unit for a few days.

I thought I'd attach a link to a little video I took which shows the problem.

Any advice gratefully received. I was thinking if reflashing the firmware and BT software again to see if it makes a difference.

can't watch the video as I am on a bandwidth limited connection, so answer a couple questions

1) do you get sound if you put it on AM or FM?

2) do you have any amps?

3) what sound(s) are missing? everything or just some things?

1. Yes Audio inputs work fine. FM/AM and Ipod (apart from dropping my iPod today after a reset)

2. No amps

3. Systems sounds and navigation voice are missing. No beeps on key press screen or fixed buttons, no speed cam warnings, no system sound in general.

did you mod the data.zip at all?

No

It happened again this morning and I've taken another video and embedded it. You can see my settings a little better on this video and it shows the problem resolving when I reboot so you can compare before and after.

again, I'm on a bandwidth limited satellite connection so I can't do videos. I'm going to do with a faulty unit. Give Pioneer a call so you can start the RMA process.

I am not sure which step helped, but my no sound issue seems to have resolved.

I disconnected my Ipod - hard reset it and re attached.

Then I downloaded the BT 3.3 update and reinstalled it.

Then I hard reset the Avic.

Since these changes I have not had any system sounds drop.

I'm very sad to say that my no system sound problem returned today after a little holiday...

I've sent a support email to Pioneer and will update the thread with any progress I make.
