What does this have to do with the AVIC-Z1? :?

i think thats awesome. A big problem with moving hard drives is the disc platters can become damages. with this there is no platter to scratch. this would probobly make more companies to design hard drives into their units. CHEAPER BETTER

Since the new technology is made for applications such as the Z1. I may not go in this gen, but in the future it will help out a ton as soon as the price goes down.
