Hey gang...first post here.

Anyone running XM AND Sirius on the same box? I primarily listen to Sirius, but there are a few channels on XM that I like. I'd also be interested in the Traffic-stuff on my Z1.

Is it possible to have both? Crutchfield said No, but I thought I'd give yall a shot at the question.

Thanks!

I have both and work fine together I mostly listen to sirius but it doesn't work downtown or in parking garages but xm does

So you can plug both brains in and it works without modification?

I was told by the installers and Crutchfield that you can't do that.

Maybe I'll just go get the XM brain and give it a try.

WCS: I can take it back.

well if you look at the back of the unit there is only one ip control plug but each brain has an ip in and ip out, so you can just daisy chain them together. i actually have xm, sirius, ipod, and the tv tuner all hooked up that way the avic knows which one to control.

I have both, as well as ipod like the previous poster. No problems at all

I've got both as well... no issues at all (and I've got the iPod interface as well)

Got XM/nav traffic, Siriuss, TV Tuner, Changer & Ipod no problems whatsoever. Pioneer lets you daisy chain them all. You shouldn't have any problems. just go ahead and order it. Make sure you leave at least 18" inches between both antennas when you install them.

I've got mine side by side without any issues (Sirius, GPS, XM) in that order

Anyone know which XM receivers work on the Z1?

If I had to do it over again, I'd have ordered the PNR-1 for my Sirius receiver. I see NO benefit to getting the PNR-2. I'm wondering if there is a similar scenario for the XM box.

Great tips guys...thanks!

I think the PNR-1 is actualy discontinued, you can only buy the PNR-2 now

Will everyone who has a TV tuner take a look at a post I put up in the “Other Products” General section (don’t want to duplicate a post) http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2066

Any xm tuner with a P in the model number will work on the Z1. For the best display and navtraffic capability though, go with the GEXP10XMT

Yea, I also have my GPS and XM next to each other.

Is there any truth to the 18" spacing?

I've had some cars where I put them next to each other and had problems and others with no problem whasoever. Guess it just a matter of luck.
