my msn direct works perfect for 2 weeks now

before that i had to boot my f900 almost every day..b/c it would not conect to msn

so after spend one day with my installer and friend of mine..he found out that the pioneer drops the msn receiver at the start...specially when u use remore start..i have remote start

so he built me a 10 sec timer/delay for the 12volt

since then..my msn direct works perfect...all the time for 2 weeks now...

and i think my unit works more smooth now...!!!

my gues is that pionner trying to decrease the boot time ..messed up with the msndirect

i hope pioneer will fix that with the next software update

Does it show a little antenna icon in the main MSN screen? What does it say in MSN Status screen (Connecting to MSN...?)

You could also try hitting the invisible buttons on the main MSN screen. First hit one under and between 1st and swecond icons from the left. Then the one under and between 3rd and 4th. Since they are invisible they are hard to hit, but they will bring you to a more detailed debug screen.

If you feel comfortable hacking DATA.ZIP files, get my MSND_800_480.ui from the Progress Report thread. It makes those button visible...

I only was able to get one of the buttons to work and it didn't give me anything useful(the antenna is greyed out and their are no timestamps for packet and key info. If I hit the status button however there is a message about a failed firmware issue. however after forcing a reinstall of the 2.0 version i still have this problem. I do believe i could fix it if someone were to zip their entire windows folder and posted it. then i could copy that back onto my F900. If you have any other ideas i would love to hear them. Thanks
