hey all,
i was wondering if anyone ever thought of placing a button on the map which essentially causes a larger version of the "quick launch" to appear in the middle of the screen? in other words instead of always having about 6 buttons like on mavericks excellent hack or the side quick launch like keeper22 added (along with any other contributions others have made), just have one that lists about 16 different functions that can cover the map until a selection is made. there are a lot more things i would like to have easily accessible but honestly don't have time immediately to figure it out (if its even possible). some good things would be the ones already modded but maybe add a button for contacts, the phone menu, a separate poi button for around destination and one for around current location, backup camera, settings, pretty much anything. this would also prevent us from worrying about button changes depending on if a route is active or not. then once a selection is made the screen would go away.
then with some of the space we gain we could possibly add cell phone battery and cell signal strength along with the already modded gps signal strength.
everyone has been doing a great job with these mods and i think this would be a neat evolution. i wish i had more time to play around.
