I thought I bought a F900BT, the box says so, however when I use the Test Mode and go to the Device Name, it is written as a F700.

My question is have I been ripped off, can someone else with a F900BT check the device name please?

Put a DVD in. Does it play?

Check for MSN Direct. Do you have it?

Look at the faceplate. Is it glossy?

The 700 doesn't have any of those features.

I don't understand what your saying, look at the face plate, does it say f900bt or f700bt? I wouldn't trust the test mode data. Also the f900bt plays dvd's the 700 does not, so put a movie dvd in the unit and see if it plays.

But then again, the face plate upper right corner says it all, your nto going to get a 700 in place of a 900 guts unless of course you bought it from somewhere shady and they were creative in how they switched it. But taht is a lot of something to do for a couple of bucks isnt it?

I have F90BT (it's definitely F90BT), and in testmode, it also says F700. F700 does not have MSN direct, so if you go to Navigate and have MSN Direct available in the bottom right corner - you are all set.

It says right on the face which model it is.....

if you have not noticed it the amount of time you have had the unit why does it matter, you are not using the features of the higher mode any wayl?
