i have a video on my sd card but when i try and play it i get a message saying that all tracks could not be played. i only have one video and it wont play it. does anyone know what i should do

I am guessing that it is not in correct format. I had that problem too, it is the same movies that will not play in my ps3. I believe all movies have to be in divx format to be playable.

Anyone know if we can download more codecs to put on the avics and perhaps then we can play more types of movies?

Wrong.

Page 174, 175 of the operation manual shows what can be played from the SD card. Well basically, no DivX file, only mpeg-4 file as .avi or .mp4

What F Series do you have? I had a 700 and to the kid that sold it to me told me one thing and it didnt do it I went back and got the 900 , My 900 does Divx . No problem with the video on the sd card
