When i want to use the testmode, i get error when system is starting.

My model is european, do i need a special european version of the testmode.zip

Don't ever try it. Mine is a European version too. I've tried and got into the test mode by changing Area: >US to EW by editing the MapdbInfo.txt

My system stopped working properly ever since. The reason is mainly the mapdbinfo.txt file in the testmode.zip is a US version and by changing it to EW you can get into test mode but this file will overwrite your original european mapdbinfo.txt on your machine and there is never going back. If you find a way to boot into your CE please send me the original mapdbinfo.txt from your european model so I can go back to a working system and avoid sending my device to Pioneer and paying money to have it reflashed.

Most of the stuff in this forum is designed for US versions and I was victimised by attemting to run into WinCE with the testmode from the forum.

There must be something else going on here, because I know of many people running testmode on Russian version of AVIC with no issues...
