Anyone with experience with install on a Touareg

I have a 2004 Touareg with premium sound [sound 2] and want to install an AVIC-f90bt. I thought it would be pretty straight forward but I am getting bad info on the net. Some say that this will be a plug and play install, others say that you need to create a custom crossover.

Does anyone out there have any expereince with installing an AVIC to this car? :?:

if i recall u have to bypass factory amp because OEM amp is triggered from the databus system to turn on and off, so with aftermarket radio no way to switch it on and off

Wow, does that means I am going to have to set up a custom passive crossover solution. 11 speaker system. :shock:

I was hoping could just use a line output converter and plug into the factory harness.

yeah gonna have to get an amp and or build crossovers

factory amp take a low level input the problem is turning it on
